PRACTICE 

NO PARTICIPANT WILL BE ALLOWED TO START PRACTICE UNTIL ALL REGISTRATION PAPERWORK IS COMPLETE AND PAYMENT IS MADE IN FULL.

Practice sessions start Monday August 5th, 2024. If a practice change occurs, you will receive notice from the Head Coach of your child’s team, and it will be posted to our facebook page. Later in the season the cheerleaders will begin to practice indoors. Any changes will be communicated by the Head Coach and posted on social media.

Cheerleaders must be at the field at least 5 minutes before the start of practice. Practices are held outdoors at Richard Mann Elementary School during the month of August. We will transition indoors once the school year begins. 

Please be punctual when picking up your child after practice. Practices and games will be held in the rain, snow, heat, and cold. If the weather conditions are questionable at the start of practice, the Board of Directors will determine if practice will be canceled within the first 15 minutes of any scheduled practice. If it begins to thunder and lightning, practices and games will be stopped immediately. If threatening weather conditions are predicted, the GPYFC Board of Directors will make the decision whether to cancel games or practice.

You are responsible for picking up your child following any practice or game cancellations. If the weather conditions are questionable at the start of a game or a practice, we recommend that you stay instead of dropping off your child.

Please refer to the ATTENDANCE POLICY listed in the handbook for requirements of participation. 

The first four practice sessions (10 hours) are reserved for conditioning drills only. Cheerleaders cannot start stunts until 10 hours of conditioning are completed.
